Texas Ponds and Water Gardens is a Net Ring for pond keepers and water garden enthusiasts who are located in Texas, USA. It does not matter if your main interest is fish keeping, native habitats, or water gardening, if you have a pond or water feature, you are welcome to join Texas Ponds and Water Gardens if your site meets the following requirements.
  • Your site must have pictures of your pond or water garden.
  • Your pond or water garden must be located in Texas.
  • Your site must be PG rated (in other words, sites that include adult material will not be accepted).
  • Texas Ponds and Water Gardens links must be located on the page that you submit for your site. If the links are not on this page, your site will not be added to the Ring.
  • Sites representing pond, koi or water gardening clubs located in Texas are welcome.
  • Commercial sites are welcome, but must be identified as a business on the page containing the Texas Ponds and Water Gardens links.
  • Commerical sites must belong to businesses located in and doing business in Texas, USA.

How to Join Texas Ponds and Water Gardens

  1. Decide if your site meets the membership requirements listed above.
  2. Submit your site. You will receive email confirming that your site has been added to the queue. This email will also include the customized HTML fragment containing the ring links for your site.
  3. (optional) Copy the graphic shown on the left to your site. If you do this you will have to edit the HTML fragment to point to the image on your server instead of the NTWGS server.
  4. Add the Net Ring links to your site. Just cut and paste the HTML fragment that was emailed to you when you submitted your site. Special Note for AOL Users
  5. Email webmaster@ntwgs.org when your site is ready.
  6. The Webmaster will review your site to make sure that the Ring links are correct and that your site meets the criteria for membership in Texas Ponds and Water Gardens.
  7. The Webmaster will add your site to the Ring. You will receive email when your site is added.
Note: This Ring is NOT hosted by Webring. You have to add the HTML fragment to your web page. It will not be added automatically.

Special Note for AOL Users

For whatever reason, the AOL email program really messes up the HTML fragment. The exact same email read with any other email program will be displayed correctly, but somehow the AOL email program loses the links and keeps the graphics. Do not use the HTML fragment that is emailed to you. You must copy the HTML fragments below and paste it into your web page. Don't forget to replace "id=__ID__" with the unique ID that was assigned to your site when you joined.
