NTWGS Scholarship Program

For a number of years, the leadership of NTWGS has been wanting to direct the proceeds of our annual pond tour to a worthy community project. Someone suggested that a scholarship program would fit the bill and so the project was approved. Thanks to the strong support of our corporate members and other commercial interests we are able to underwrite a large part of our printing costs and thereby free up most of the proceeds from the sale of The Modern Water Gardener to this purpose. It is our goal to provide $3000 a year divided between 3 awards per semester or $500 per semester per student. As college costs goes up we feel that we will have a greater and greater effect on the quality of students majoring in horticulture, landscaping or aquatic sciences and, in so doing, positively impact the hobby we so enjoy.
